Coronation afternoon tea

Wow! What a stupendous Coronation Afternoon Tea we had on Saturday May 6th!

The weather was unexpectedly beautiful and the crowds came!

For this event I had invited our local community as well as gathering in passers by with the use of some roadside advertising!

After duly adorning the club in various red, white and blue decorations, we welcomed in a steady stream of eager patrons between 3 and 5pm with quiches, scones and assorted cakes arriving in plentiful amounts with the piece de resistance surely being Val’s wonderful Coronation 2 tier fruit cake!

Jovial chatting, watching Coronation highlights and tucking into the tasty delights ensued with donations raised for Parkinson’s or RNLI in the region of £300!

All agreed it was a huge success with several requests of a repeat before too long!
