What an amazing Italian night we had on Saturday August 9th!

Held as a welcome back to our amazing Tasar Teams who went to Italy to compete in the Tasar Europeans and Worlds last month.

The clubhouse was decked out with Italian flags including a full size flag and red, green and white balloons

The buffet table had never looked so amazing with Italian themed dishes of all descriptions including lasagnes, pasta salads, pizzas, caprese salads, meats, cheeses and of course polenta cake and tiramisu for dessert!

Many members dressed to impress in coordinating outfits and the evening soon got under way with much food consumed, limoncello and Aperol Spritzes savoured and excited banter, all backed by some traditional Italian music.

After everyone had eaten, Clare took to the stage to present an amazing PowerPoint she had prepared about the awesome trip the Tasar teams had recently enjoyed visiting beautiful Lake Garda.

We heard tales of their journey, the changing weather conditions, Alex’s very unfortunate incident on the start line with an Australian competitor (who was at fault and made a big apology to Alex) rendering Team Royle/Coello out of the European championships!

However on a plus….Team Hawkins went on to be placed 1st as the winning European team in the European championship!!🎉🎉

We saw Rachel proudly carrying the Union Jack in the opening ceremony of the Worlds and were all thoroughly entertained by the continuing stories told brilliantly by the various Tasar teams. 

A thoroughly fantastic evening again at PSC!
